Larne group has delivered 3,000 hampers to pandemic vulnerable

Larne Factory Community Forum’s support of the vulnerable during the coronavirus crisis has been recognised by Mid and East Antrim Borough Council.

The Mayor, Councillor Peter Johnston, presented the group with a certificate for members’ exceptional work during Covid-19.

Factory Community Forum has delivered almost 3,000 food hampers to those who are vulnerable throughout the pandemic.

Over 60 nominations for voluntary groups has been submitted since council launched the recognition scheme just last week.

The Mayor said: “It is really encouraging to hear of so many people who have rallied together to help.

“The Factory Community Forum are one of a number of very worthy recipients of this certificate.

“I look forward to delivering more of these awards to the fantastic voluntary groups across our borough.”
