Raising over an incredible £500 by himself, Matt fearlessly took to the skies at Skydive Wild Geese Garvagh for the worthy cause.

Commending Matt, Colleen Tinnelly, USPCA Development Manager, said: “We are so delighted with Matt’s bravery and incredible fundraising efforts on behalf of the USPCA.

“His support has been overwhelming as over recent months, due to Covid, we have been faced with many challenges as we tried to maintain full operations with very little donations due to all fundraising activities being postponed. We cannot thank him enough for his commitment to the charity.”

Matt added: “Every year I have a tradition of selecting a charity to fundraise for and I felt that this year the USPCA, due to the current situation, really needed support as it receives no government funding and donations would have decreased a lot in the last few months. The charity plays a vital role in tackling animal cruelty and educating the public on animal welfare.

“The skydive itself was incredible and the entire event was well organised from start to finish. The staff are very friendly and hard-working and immediately made me feel at ease. I’ll definitely be signing up for more USPCA events in the future and really encourage others to consider it too as it’s such a worthy cause.”
