Larne players highlight domestic violence support programme

Larne Football Club has joined with Women’s Aid ABCLN to share the message ‘You Are Not Alone’ for those by affected domestic abuse during the Covid-19 lock down.

The campaign trending across social media, encourages people to help raise awareness about domestic abuse by sharing a photograph of a heart on their palm.

Larne FC players Cillian Gilmore, Tomas Cosgrove, Ben Tilney and Pablo Andrade are supporting the campaign along with local Women’s Aid ABCLN Volunteer Tahnee McCrory.

Tahnee said: “Join us and share your photographs on social media using the hashtag #YouAreNotAlone to raise awareness of this issue, and let’s help everyone to stay safe.

“At home shouldn’t mean at risk for women and children. You have the right to be safe. You have options.

“Check in with friends, family, neighbours and colleagues and break down the isolation for anyone affected by domestic abuse.

Let them know you are there for them and that help is available.”
