Male hospitalised after Rathcoole incident

A male casualty was transported to hospital after coming off his electric bike in the Rathcoole estate yesterday.

Detailing the incident, a PSNI spokesperson said: “Police received a report of a concern for safety of a man in the Ardmillan Drive area of Rathcoole, Newtownabbey, on Sunday, August 23.

“Officers were notified, just before 2.45pm, that a male had come off his electric bike.

“He was transported to hospital by colleagues from Northern Ireland Ambulance Service for treatment to injuries, which are not believed to be serious.”
