'Project Five', run by the Health Hub at YMCA Carrickfergus in conjunction with Uplift Performing Arts group, explores issues of mental health through the medium of creative arts.

Run over a 6-week period, the programme will examine five key elements to well-being: Connect, Give, Take Notice, Learn, and Be Active.

"We have 15 young people involved between the ages of 11 and 16," said Ryan Moffett from Uplift.

"We'll be looking at exploring mental health through improvisational activities, song, dance, things like that."

The workshops aim to boost communication skills and build resilience, while highlighting the importance of staying active.

Uplift and Carrickfergus YMCA previously teamed up in 2017 for the Musicals that Matter programme.

Project Five workshops began on Tuesday evening at YMCA Carrickfergus.
