Mid and East Antrim Pride 2026: what's on the programme for this year's event in Ballymena on June 20
Details have been announced for the return of the Mid and East Antrim Pride event in Ballymena on Saturday, June 20.
Described by organisers as a vibrant day of visibility, community and celebration, the theme for this year is 'Louder, Prouder, Stronger.’
It will be the second time the town has hosted the celebrations following the inaugural Mid and East Antrim Pride in June 2025.
The day will begin with Pride Morning at The Braid Arts Centre from 10:00am to 1:00pm, offering a welcoming and inclusive space for all ages.

This free event will feature community stalls, information stands, light entertainment and opportunities for connection, reflection and celebration of the local LGBTQ+ community.
A statement from organisers read: “The Pride Parade will assemble at the Ardeevin entrance from the Waveney Road, stepping off at 2:00pm, and will make its way through Ballymena town centre in a colourful and affirming show of solidarity.
"The route will pass key central streets, ensuring maximum visibility and accessibility for participants and spectators alike. Community groups, organisations, allies and individuals are all invited to take part in what promises to be the largest Pride procession the borough has seen to date.
"Following the parade, celebrations will continue into the evening with the official Mid & East Antrim Pride After Party at The Front Page Bar, featuring an exciting line-up of live entertainment, DJs and performances. This is a free event, providing a high-energy and inclusive space for everyone to celebrate Pride into the night.”
In addition to the official programme, a number of local venues and businesses across Ballymena will be marking the occasion, hosting their own Pride-themed events, promotions and celebrations throughout the day and evening.
Further information, updates and participation details are available on the Mid & East Antrim Pride Facebook page. Speaking ahead of the event, organisers added: “Mid & East Antrim Pride 2026 is about being louder in our visibility, prouder in our identity, and stronger together as a community. This year’s programme reflects the growth of Pride in our area and the incredible support from local people, groups and businesses.”
