Mossley WI celebrates 80th anniversary in Mossley Mill

Mossley Women’s Institute has celebrated its 80th anniversary with an event in Mossley Mill.

Hosted by Deputy Mayor Julie Gilmour, members and guests enjoyed afternoon tea and a very interesting talk by Fraser Agnew MBE.

Mossley WI was formed by Nan and Patricia Campbell, members of the family who owned Mossley Mill – then a flax spinning mill.

It is now the headquarters of Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council.

“Mossley WI greatly appreciate all the help Antrim and Newtownabbey Council gave us to make the day so enjoyable and memorable,” the group said.
