New 10k race to be staged on inconic Coast Road

Members of Larne AC are delighted to announce their brand new 10k race on the iconic Antrim Coast Road.

Commenting on the new event, which is set to take place on Saturday, July 3, a spokesperson for the club said: “One of the flattest out and back road races in the province, which promises to be a pb course with the gradient altering only 14 feet over the distance.

“With some of the most stunning scenery in any road race throughout Ireland, the event will cater for the newest of beginners through to seasoned internationals, whilst hopefully promoting all participants’ mental wellness post lockdown.”

Details of the prize fund for male and female competitors have also been released.

Runners can pick up £500 for finishing first, £250 for coming in second and £100 for placing third.

Category prizes 35–60 years for first and second will also be presented.

Race entry is now open. Affiliated entry is priced at £18 and unaffiliated entrants can pay £20 to compete.
