Newtownabbey baker to appear on TV show Beidh Aonach Amárach

A Newtownabbey baker is to appear in popular agricultural show Beidh Aonach Amárach.

Chikumo Fiseko will feature in an episode of the TG4 series this Wednesday evening, March 24.

Beidh Aonach Amárach takes viewers into the heart of the country show scene all over the island of Ireland.

The series highlights that while the agricultural shows did not happen last summer, dedicated competitors and exhibitors continued to work hard at perfecting their craft.

During the programme, Glengormley woman Chikumo tells how her love of baking has been passed down through the generations of women in her family, who are originally from Zambia.

Having pitched to the four major supermarkets whilst living in Sheffield, Chikumo became familiar with baking products on the market.

She is the creative force behind ‘Mostly Muffins’ where she sells her cakes and baked goods.

A year ago, she launched her second business venture, called ‘Nyina’ (meaning ‘Mother’ in her native language Bemba) which is focused on sustainable cake mixes and creating the next generation of bakers.

Chikumo also blogs on a range of topics from mental health to weight loss, and uses Instagram to explore the differences between the culture of her family and that of her Northern Irish boyfriend.

She has previously worked as a brand ambassador a brand ambassador for Henderson Group.

Beidh Aonach Amárach will be broadcast on TG4 on Wednesday, March 24 at 8:30pm.
