Newtownabbey teen Eimear celebrates success at County Antrim Fleadh

Dominican College pupil Eimear McGrath retained her Antrim banjo title, winning gold in 12-15 age category.

This year, she added a first in mandolin, first in tenor guitar and second in accompaniment (guitar).

This means the 14-year-old has qualified for the Ulster Fleadh, which will be held in Warrenpoint in July, in every category she entered.

Eimear attends Glengormley School of Traditional Music and is also a member of Ards Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann.
