Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Ald Stephen Ross, buried a time capsule in Lilian Bland Community Park, Glengormley, on February 28 to mark Northern Ireland’s centenary.

A council spokesperson said: “This is the last of four Centenary time capsules to be buried across the borough as part of the council’s programme of events to mark the Northern Ireland Centenary.
“Over the past 18 months, items were collected from schools, community groups, sports clubs and individuals that capture the essence of each place and its people in 2021.”
