Plaudits for Ballyclare teacher as film selected by BBC

A creative film by a Ballyclare High School teacher has been selected by the BBC as one of their Two Minute Masterpiece film programmes.

Art and MIA teacher, Laura Conlon’s creative film ‘The Presence of Absence’ can now be viewed on the BBC iPlayer.

Ms Conlon got to create her film with the support of BBC production.

In addition, the prestigious Cork Film Festival selected this film to showcase in last week’s event programme, a huge accolade and recognition of her talent.

Ms Conlon said: “I thoroughly enjoyed working with and leading this project with the BBC.”

Ballyclare High School Principal, Dr Rainey, added: “We are just so delighted to have staff of this calibre leading our community here in and outside of the classroom.”
