Police not treating Rathcoole incident as suspicious

Detectives are not treating an incident which occurred last week at a property in the Rathcoole Drive area as suspicious.

Officers had launched an appeal for information on Thursday (June 4) after a man in his 60s was found lying on the floor of his Rathcoole Drive home on Wednesday evening (June 3). He had sustained extensive bruising to his head, chest, abdomen and limbs.

Providing an update to the Times today, a PSNI spokesperson said: “Following further enquiries, detectives are not treating the incident as suspicious.”
