Police thank public for help but ask them not to hamper search for missing Barry Freeman

Causeway Coast and Glens police who are trying to locate missing person 44-year-old Barry Freeman have thanked the public for their help but asked them not to hamper any rescue efforts.

In a post of Facebook, they wrote: "Barry, aged 44, was last seen in the Circular Road/ Strand Road area of Coleraine on Thursday, 22nd December shortly after 7.40pm. He was last seen wearing a Christmas jumper, navy coat, navy tracksuit trousers, white trainers with a dark sole and a Santa bobble hat.

"Searches of the wider Coleraine area are being coordinated by police and community search and rescue. The public has been thanked for their support to date, however, are reminded not to hamper any rescue efforts but to report any information or sightings to police on 101.

"If you know of Barry’s whereabouts, or have any information, including dash-cam footage from the area at the time he went missing, please call police on 101, quoting reference number 687 of 27/12/22.”
