BANBRIDGE & District Horticultural Society will hold its 60th annual flower and vegetable show in Bannside Presbyterian Church Hall this Saturday (September 7).

The show will open to the public at 2pm. There will be a wide range of vegetables and flowers on display and admission is £5 only including refreshments (no charge for children), and there is a free draw as well, so this is a show not to be missed!

Dromore Beekeepers' Association will exhibit their show classes, which will include honey bees' wax and candles.

After the prize-giving ceremony and trophy presentations at 3.30pm, flowers and vegetables donated to the society by the exhibitors will be sold to raise funds for Cancer Fund for Children’s Daisy Lodge.

Daisy Lodge is a purpose-built therapeutic centre located in Newcastle for families affected by cancer.

Tea and refreshments, kindly served by the lady members of the society, will be available during the entire length of the show.

Society chairperson, Mrs Lettie Fleming, would like to thank all the members for their hard work and dedication in organising and running this show.

Any new members are always welcome!

Just come along to the show.
