Some of the calls they were racing out to answer were serious fires, road traffic collisions and carbon monoxide alarms.

Dad Phil, from Portadown, who has been a firefighter for almost 30 years, said he received a new video door bell from his wife Nuala for Christmas.

He explained that his daughter Chloe (19) who lives at home took a look through the videos captured by the bell camera and decided to make a compliation.

“She posted it to Tik Tok and we have been amazed by the response,” said Phil.

The 49-year-old, who has been a full time firefighter at Lurgan Fire Station for 25 years, revealed that he also works on call-outs at Portadown Fire Station.

He said his daughter Chloe had an interest in becoming a firefighter and started her training earlier last year. She became fully qualified in December and started her call-outs with Portadown Fire Station.

Chloe, a former pupil at Portadown College, fits in her part time firefighting with her full time job at P&G Foods in Portadown.

When asked why she posted the videos, she said: “I just thought it would be funny.

“All the comments have been positive,” said Chloe who added that she is really enjoying being a fire-fighter. “I would love to work at it full time,” she said.

She had to explain to some commentators their actions.

“We take separate cars in case one of us doesn’t get out and we need to go home again.”

Phil is delighted with his new Christmas present and highly recommends the Ring alarm bell for security.

Many of those who watched the video are from the USA.

One person wrote: “I didn’t notice you didn’t live in the US and I was wondering why he kept getting in the passenger side even when y’all took different cars.”

Another said: “This made me quite emotional, thank you for what you do. Run towards the danger whilst everyone is running away.”
