Tributes flood social media after tragic death of 35 year old man

As news filtered through this morning, social media was flooded with sorrow and tributes following the death of a popular Co Armagh man.

Gary McConaghy was an extremely well known and highly regarded young man from Lurgan who was known throughout the town for his love of life and laughter.

The 35-year-old was the life and soul of a party and enjoyed socialising and going out.

He sadly lost his father Mickey just last month.

Though news of his death just filtered through early this morning, social media has been flooded with tributes to the young man who touched so many lives with his chat and laughter.

Many are in shock and sorrow at the loss of Gary who was a big part of the Taghnevan community.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police received a report of the sudden death of a man in the Dingwell Park area of Lurgan on Wednesday 22nd July.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious.”
