Fourteen-year-old Isaac Roxborough from the Burnfoot area had been riding the quad which was involved in a single-vehicle collision on the Ballygudden Road the previous day.

Hide AdMs Sugden said: “This is an unspeakable tragedy, one that will devastate Isaac’s family, particularly his parents and two brothers.
“The number of tributes that have been paid to Isaac online since his passing show just how loved he was and how valued he had already become within the local community as a member of various clubs and organisations.
“Losing someone so young is a heart-breaking, shattering thing to happen and experience to go through.”

Hide AdMeanwhile Moneydig Young Conquerors Flute Band posted a tribute on social media: “Isaac had been a part of our band since he was a wee nipper, first as an enthusiastic cymbal player and over the last couple of years as a gifted side drummer, proudly parading alongside his dad Mark and brothers Adam and James.
"Always with a smile and a kind word for everyone, he will be fondly remembered by everyone associated with the band. Deepest condolences to Mark, Katrina and the family circle. Forever a Young Conqueror. Rest easy young Isaac. Safe in the arms of Jesus.”
There was also a tribute from Newtowne Football Club who posted: “It is with great sadness and regret that we have learned of the tragic passing of our ex-player Isaac Roxborough.

Hide Ad"Isaac had been part of Newtowne Youths football club for several years, playing regularly at 7, 9, and 11 a side. He always had a smile on his face, irrespective of the result. He gave his all in every match he played.
"Newtowne Youths would like to pass on all of our condolences to his parents, Mark and Katrina, his brothers Adam and James, and to the whole family circle. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time.”
Causeway Coast and Glens Sinn Féin councillor Sean McGlinchey also offered condolences saying: “This death has shocked the local community and I send my sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Isaac Roxborough at this difficult time."

Inspector Cherith Adair from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Collision Investigation Unit said: "Our thoughts are very much with the family at this incredibly sad time, Isaac was just 14 years old.
"A meticulous investigation to establish the circumstances is underway and we would ask anyone who noticed the red Honda quad on the Ballygudden Road on Tuesday morning, 25th June, shortly before 11.30am or who witnessed the collision to contact us on 101 quoting 675 25/06/24 with any information or dash-cam footage."
