Software developer Andrew Kernohan was forced to cancel plans for his trip to Iceland earlier this year after he had to spend the money he had saved up on repairing his car.

“I had been saving up. I had the trip planned out and ready to book, and then my ABS pump went on my car and I had to spend the money getting that repaired,” said the 32-year-old.

But thanks to winning £15,000 with lifestyle competition BOTB, Andrew can now pay for his trip and more.

“I’ll now be able to go and take pictures in Iceland, which looks like an amazing place to go and take photographs, from the landscape to the famous Northern Lights,” he said.

“Apart from that I may look at upgrading my camera and then being more practical and paying off some debt and a bit of my mortgage.”

“Andrew was utterly and completely shocked to have won,” said Christian. “We’re glad that the £15,000 is going to help take Andrew on this amazing trip to Iceland he’d sadly had to cancel.”

Since being founded in 1999 by William Hindmarch, BOTB has given away over £30m worth of prizes.
