PHA’s newdirectory of servicesfor mentalhealth

STAFF from the Northern Health and Social Care Trust addressed representatives from Coleraine Council to highlight the range of services available to help anyone struggling with mental health issues.

“The current economic downturn is having an impact across the Northern Trust,” explained Senior Director Paul Cummings, “in response the Trust is working collaboratively with the Public Health Agency to promote a directory of locally available support services for anyone who is experiencing low mood, anxiety, depression, debt, bereavement or a range of mental health issues.”

“We welcome the support of Coleraine Council to heighten awareness of the range of services available and to help distribute this useful directory.”

The Public Health Agency’s (PHA) directory of services to help improve mental health and emotional wellbeing lists a range of services, some of which can be accessed by visiting your GP, while others are available through 24-hour helplines.

There are also local drop-in centres and websites so that people can connect with support in whatever way fits best for them.
