Philip reaches PGA club pro status

GALGORM Castle Golf Club assistant professional Philip Graham has become a fully-fledged PGA professional.

The Cullybackey man (pictured left) recently completed his three-year studies to become a club pro.

“Most of it was distant learning and one residential at the Belfry each year, along with exams which had to be passed each year.

“It means I can now do teaching at the club, or run my own club shop or become a head professional at a club.”

Taking up his role at Galgorm has been a dream come true for Philip, who has been a member at Galgorm since 1999.

His new-found status means he can no longer compete for the club in amateur competitions but he still gets time to play competitively in Irish Region events and he recently took part in the EuroPro Tour event hosted by Galgorm Castle.
