Phoenix extension receives approval

A retrospective application to retain an extension to the rear of the The Phoenix has been approved by local planners.

At last Thursday’s planning committee Councillor Beth Adger welcomed the approval, she said: “They done a great job, it will be a lot safer for everybody involved.”

There were five letters of objection to the application, Alderman Martin Clarke told members that he had held an office meeting on behalf of these objectors. He said: “This sends out the message that somebody can build an extension without planning permission.”
