Picket against bunting
SINN Fein held a picket against the erection of bunting in the town centre on Saturday.
Cllr Liam Mackle said: “People from all traditions make use of our town centre and they have the right to conduct their business in a neutral atmosphere free from any form of sectarian or partisan harassment.
“The town centre is the workplace for those who maintain the financial and retail businesses that make up the heart of the town and they also have the right to work in an atmosphere that is free from tribalistic displays.”

Hide AdHe continued: “There are substantial legal issues surrounding the practice and Sinn Féin will be examining the role that the Courts have to play in this matter and, where applicable, we will pursue those legal avenues.”
