PICTURE GALLERY: DeepFish takes hundreds to Ballymoney High School

SCORES of young people from the Ballymoney area have enjoyed a week long youth and community programme at Ballymoney High School.

Organised by 'DeepFish', a team of 60 volunteers gave of their time to put on some of the most innovative activites for youth in this area.

Running from 2004, a large number of young people attended the High School to engage in kids clubs, cage football, horse riding, afternoon youth programmes and evening youth events which included music, wet and wild night and BMX displays.

Millbrook Day Centre also paid a visit and enjoyed a programme of music, dance, sports and fitness.

There was a crche to enable mothers and women to be pampered and learn about cooking and creative arts.

The week long programme cumulated in a family Fun Day for all ages.

DeepFish was part funded by the North Eastern Education Library Board and was attended by members from all sections of the community.

The programme has a proven record of being highly successful in community transformation and regeneration. Based on community evaluations, the question on most lips has been, when is Deepfish returning given its success!
