PICTURE GALLERY: £100,000 raised at Roger and Val's car boots

THE 50th and final car boot sale for this year has been held at the Old Rectory, 263 Whitepark Road, Dunseverick.

The event, in aid of the Mission to Seafareres raised 2,150.

Although it was the 50th car boot it was in fact the 76th charity event held by Val and Roger Denny. The funds raised on the day passed the 100,000 mark of monies given to charity over the years and they would like to thank everyone who over the years have been so loyal with their support.

Val added: "We have raised an amazing 100,000. Without the local communities support this wouldn't have been possible. I would also like to thank our devoted team of helpers to whom special thanks must be given, such results could not be achieved without them."

Hopefully the car boots will be back again next year but in the meantime bric-a-brac, clothing etc is still on sale each Saturday from 10am until 3pm when tea and coffee is also served with all the proceeds for the Mission to Seafarers.
