On Saturday 20 June, the charity is organising four led bike rides for all the family along radial routes into the Titanic Quarter for the Northern Ireland Festival of Cycling.

The Piccolo Fondo – The Big Pink Pedal is expected to attract around 400 cyclists along greenways and quiet roads into Belfast for a family festival of food, drink, entertainment and the exciting centre-piece – a velodrome open to the public.

The rides, which will be fully marshalled by Sustrans volunteers, will leave from Comber, Holywood, Lisburn and Whiteabbey with pick-up points along the way, including the Sam Thompson Bridge, Holywood Arches and Shaw’s Bridge.

Thanks to funding from the Public Health Agency, Sustrans is also offering free cycle training and bike checks over the next few weeks.
