PIPS Larne looking forward to new start

Suicide-prevention charity PIPS Larne is gearing up for its move to new premises in the town centre in the New Year.

The group hopes to move into first-floor premises at 109 Main Street early in 2014.

A spokesperson for the charity said: “PIPS Larne would like to say a big thank you to all those who have supported us throughout 2013.

“We would not exist without all your help and we look forward to your continued support in 2014, especially now that we have our own premises to work from in Larne.”

Meanwhile, some great prizes were up for grabs in the charity’s Christmas ballot.

The winning tickets were drawn by Larne Mayor Maureen Morrow in the Mayor’s Parlour on Saturday.

The main prize winners were as follows:

1st prize – Five-day return ferry for one car and two people, courtesy of P&O Ferries was won by J Sloan of Waterloo Gardens,

4th prize – James Martin digital steamer courtesy of Orion was won by Sam Campbell of Parkmount Gardens,

5th prize – Picture courtesy of Inspirational Furnishings was won by F McFerran.
