Plan rejected
PLANNERS have rejected a planning application to build a housing development on Avenue Road.
The proposed site, which was to consist of townhouses, semi-detached houses and a number of apartments, was to be built on the site of the Optical Factory.
29 people signed a petition objecting to the development.
Planners said the site did not have adequate parking or appropriate public open space.
