To date discussions have been held with the Mayor, Alderman Paul Porter and Councillor Jenny Palmer, Chairman of the Council’s Economic Development Committee, who said: “The Council anticipates that this initiative will give the vacant buildings in this street a much needed cosmetic make-over through painting the shop fronts, and the production of vibrant window graphics with a clear message that this area is open for business.”

“I would therefore like to take this opportunity to ask any commercial property owners in Grand Street to contact the Council with a view to participating in this initiative.”
A meeting was scheduled this week at the Civic Centre where all property owners were invited to attend.”
