Plan to set up village watch scheme
Speaking about the weekend burglaries Cllr Carla Lockhart said, “I was horrified to learn of these burglaries at the weekend. The victims have been left traumatised and extremely upset by the happenings.
“There was a significant amount of goods taken including a vehicle and jewellery. I can only begin to imagine the great sense of loss and frustration by the residents concerned.
“I have been liaising with the PSNI and as a result am very keen to assist in the organising of a Neighbourhood Watch in Dollingstown to help act as a deterrent to thieves who choose Dollingstown as their destination to attack and target people who are going about minding their own business. I would encourage anyone who is interested in Neighbourhood Watch to come forward and contact me and I will endeavour to set this up in the near future.”
