Planning for centenary show

AS it heads towards its centenary year in 2012, the Lurgan Show Society is keen to hear memories from past exhibitors, the public and former show members and their families of the show in past decades.

Lurgan Show Public Relations Officer John Harrison said the society is hoping to collate a record of stories, old show programmes, prize schedules, rosettes and prize cards.

In addition, any photos from Lurgan show in the past decades would also be appreciated. All items can be copied and returned to their respective owners.

With plans progressing for the centenary year, it is hoped that such resources can be used to celebrate such a significant milestone in Lurgan’s history.

So remember to keep Saturday, June 2, 2012 as a date in your diary.
