Plans being made for a ‘Happy Hallowe’en’

IT may be over a month away but plans to celebrate Hallowe’en once again at the Ecos are being firmly made by Ballymena Borough Council.

Details of what is proposed for 2012 were put to a committee meeting of the local authority last week when it was revealed that the celebrations are due to be held on Friday, October 26, from 6.30-9.30pm.

A range of activities are to be held inside and outside of the centre. In the centre/ecos island, these will include spooky storytelling, a haunted house, samba band, fire jugglers and a magician while in the ecos park there will be a travelling funfair, a DJ, hot food stall and ice-cream van, and, of course, fireworks (due for an 8.30pm start).

General admission will be £2.50 while under fives will go free but tickets will be required for both categories and these will be available from the ecos centre, Tourist Information Centre at The Braid and the Seven Towers Leisure Centre.
