Plans to handle RDFat Craigmore site
Coleraine Skip Hire and Recycling Limited has prepared to move into pre-treatment of waste for incineration and the handling of refused derived fuel (RDF) at its Ringsend site.
An application made under pollution control legislation relates to the firm’s Craigmore Landfill site.
According to a notice published in the Belfast Gazette: “The application proposes to add a number of activities listed in Schedule 1 to the regulations in addition to the current permission to operate a non-hazardous waste landfill.

Hide Ad“The Schedule 1 activities, which are proposed for addition include the pre-treatment of waste for incineration or co-incineration and the co-incineration of RDF.
“A materials recovery facility and the baling and wrapping of RDF will be undertaken at the site as directly associated activities.”
