Plans to screen Monday Club film at Queen’s theatre

There are hopes of bringing locally-produced drama The Monday Club to the big screen for a second time following its successful debut last week.

The film, written and directed by Brian Mulholland, played to a packed out theatre at the Movie House in Belfast on Thursday evening.

The one-night-only screening was part of the Belfast Film Festival programme.

Producer Corinne Heaney, from Whitehead, said: “We’ve been talking to other places about screening it, like QFT [Queen’s Film Theatre].”

A local screening of the film, which was partially shot in Ballycarry, is also being considered.
