The pre-application event is due to take place from 4pm to 6pm in the Bishop Street Community Centre.

The plan is to redevelop the whole site with housing for pensioners, alongside general residential housing.

CEP Planning Ltd. of Belfast has organised the event.

It says the plans are for the demolition of existing buildings at the site at 174 Bishop Street apart from the listed building itself.

Developers then want to erect 32 new homes.

These will be a mixture of terraced housing, semi-detached housing and apartments.

Nazareth House itself, a listed building, will be totally refurbished in order to provide 24 elderly apartments.

Anyone interested in the development can attend or indeed contact CEP Planning Ltd. at 2a Wallace Avenue, Lisburn, BT27 4AA no later than August 24.
