The co-ordinator of a Coleraine children’s centre has expressed her joy at winning a maor honour at the 2014 Ni4kids Family Awards.

Anthea Ridley from the Playhouse Activity Centre in Coleraine received the Childcare of the Year Award sponsored by Tinies NI at a gala ceremony in Belfast City Hall.

The Ni4kids Family Awards in association with The OUTLET Village, Banbridge celebrate the organisations and individuals across Northern Ireland who put families with young children first.

Anthea has nutured hundreds of local children through the Playhouse - and she was deservedly nominated for the award by the parents’ committee, who wanted her hard work to recognised externally.

There were hundreds of nominations for the award which is for a nursery, childminder or healthcare professional who constantly goes above and beyond their normal duties creating a safe and loving environment for children.
