Please clean gutters and save costly repairs

Featured in this months Townscene, the TCM explained: “Prompt attention will stave off costly damage at a later date, not only to your property, but also your neighbours’ property, as well as the adjacent pavements.

“Since the new pavements were laid in Main Street, there has been a significant problem of sand being washed out, as a direct result of blocked guttering.

“This has made the paving unstable and has required costly repairs on a number of occasions during the maintenance period.

“Property owners/leasers are asked to ensure drains/gutters are free from moss, growth, leaves and other debris to enable water to escapes quickly, through the proper channels, particularly during heavy downpours. Your co-operation is greatly appreciated.”
