Plumber caught short

A SELF-EMPLOYED plumber caught short for a toilet on the way to a friend's house was fined £75 for urinating on the shutters of a shop.

David Gordon (28), of Grantham Park, Portadown admitted the charge of indecent behaviour which happened on July 31.

Thursday's sitting of Craigavon Magistrates Court was told a police patrol had spotted Gordon urinating on the shutters of a shop at Market Street in Portadown.

He told police: "Sorry I was just having a wee."

His solictor told the court Gordon had no previous convictions. He had been to a couple of bars and was on his way to a friend's house when he was caught short. Gordon, the solicitor added, sent his apologies to the court.

District Judge Alan White said he would fine him 75 given his clear record.
