Poignant evening for choir as musical director bows out

There will be a poignant evening for Counterpoint Choir tomorrow (Friday) as they prepare for their final concert with musical director Michael Harris.

The concert takes place in Lurgan Quaker Meeting House, Johnston’s Row when the choir will be helping to raise funds for Quaker Service.

During Michael’s five years they have gone from strength to strength and were winners at Portadown Festival in 2013. Michael has also expanded their repertoire to include many new and exciting songs.

Counterpoint Choir are actively recruiting a new musical director and would love to have expressions of interest to Rosalind McGrath, the choir secretary at 07789011922 or through their Facebook page.

This is a unique opportunity for a choral enthusiast to use their talents to conduct this choir who enjoy singing a wide variety of music.

You are invited to enjoy an evening of good music at The Quakers on Friday evening at 8pm which will be followed by light refreshments.

The performance will include some old favourites and new songs.
