Police appeal about Millburn shooting

Detectives in Coleraine are appealing for information following a shooting incident in the Maple Drive area of Millburn in the early hours of this morning.

Just before 4am police received a report that four masked men entered the house and shot a man aged in his early 20’s.

The injured party tried to escape and was pursued by the gunmen who shot him again outside the house. Two other men in the house at the time were not injured.

The man sustained gunshot wounds to both his arms and legs and was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries.

Detective Chief Inspector Catherine Magee, told The Coleraine Times: “I appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident or has any information to contact Detectives at Coleraine on the non emergency number 101 or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
