Police appeal after damage at Anderson Park

Police in Coleraine are appealing for those who visit Anderson Park in Coleraine, to respect other members of the public.

Inspector Donna Bowden explains: “The park is a popular place and when the weather is favourable we see more people using it as an area to hang out with friends or relax on their lunch break.

“What we don’t want to see is activity in the park that results in criminal damage or behaviour that is seen as intimidating.

“For example we are aware of bins being set on fire which is dangerous, especially on hot days.

“We want to make sure the park is a safe space for everyone so next time be mindful of who is around you and respect this wonderful public area.”
