Police appeal after forecourt thefts

Police in Craigavon are appealing for information following a number of incidents where forecourt vacuum, air and water devices were broken into and money stolen.

Constable Michael Allen explained: “Sometime between midnight and 5.55am on Monday, April 6, the vacuum system at a service station on Lough Road, Lurgan was broken into and a sum of cash taken.

“During our enquiries we discovered that similar incidents had occurred overnight into Monday, April 6, at Bawn Filling Station, Richhill, and two other service stations in Cookstown.

“We would encourage anyone who notices any suspicious activity around service stations during night time hours to contact police immediately on 101. If you have information in relation to any of these incidents please contact us in Craigavon on 101, quoting ref: 231 060415.”
