It was reported that sometime between 11.30am and 12.20pm the front passenger window of a parked car was smashed and a handbag and jacket stolen from inside.

Constable Reid is appealing for anyone who witnessed the theft or anyone with any information to contact police in Coleraine on the non-emergency number 101. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Police would wish to take this opportunity to remind people not to leave valuables in view inside cars. Please always lock handbags, cameras, phones and other valuables in the boot or take them out of the car altogether. Thieves can often be opportunist and this simple crime prevention tip can deny them opportunities to steal.
