Police appeal for crash witnesses

Police have made a direct appeal to a car of young females who may have witnessed a collision which claimed the life of an elderly man in Lisburn.

The incident which involved three vehicles happened on the Ballynahinch Road near to the Temple Golf Club on Friday May 22 at around 5.15pm.

Police are renewing their appeal for information about the fatal road crash that claimed the life of the 80-year-old man.

Inspector Gary Jones said: “I am making a specific appeal to the occupants of a car containing a number of young females which was travelling on the Ballynahinch Road at the time of the collision to contact Police at the collision investigation unit, as it is believed that they may have witnessed the collision.

“Police can be contacted on the non-emergency number 101.”
