Police appeal for help from taxi driver after fatal accident

Police are appealing for information following a fatal RTC on Friday, 16 August on the Carryduff Road, Ballynahinch in which a 32 year old man died.

They are appealing to the driver of a silver or gold VW Passat which had a taxi sign on the roof to contact them, as he may be able to assist them with their enquiries. The driver of this vehicle, which has an English registration number, stopped at the scene of this incident at approximately 2am and assisted at the scene.

It is believed that he was coming from the direction of Ballynahinch and driving towards Belfast.

Police would also ask anyone else who may have information to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or alternatively the Collision Investigation Unit can be contacted by ringing 02890 650 222 and asking for extension 65492.
