Police appeal for info on Stoneyford van crash

Police in Lisburn are investigating a road traffic collision in the Stoneyford area on October 1.

A member of the public reported that a white van had driven through Rusheyhill Road at speed and collided with a hedge close to the Joey Dunlop Pit area.

One man wearing a white t-shirt was seen running from the van.

Members of the public who saw what happened were concerned that this man was injured due to the high speed of the vehicle when the collision occurred. Police used flares and a dog unit to search for this man however he wasn’t found.

Police in Lisburn are appealing for information and would like the driver of the van to come forward. Police can be contacted at Lisburn Station on 101.
