Police appeal for information after man is abducted and assaulted in Lisburn

Detectives are appealing for information following the report of an abduction and assault that occurred in Lisburn in the early hours of Wednesday 28 October.

A 22 year old man reported that he was walking in a street in the general area of Saintfield Road/ Ballynahinch Road when he was struck on the head, bundled into a car and was taken to a flat by three masked men.

He was assaulted in the flat before he was able to get away and was located by police in the Barrack Street area at approximately 1.30am.

He is currently receiving hospital treatment for his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

Detective Sergeant Lyttle said: “I would ask anyone who saw any suspicious activity, or who knows anything about this incident, to contact detectives in Lisburn Police Station on the non emergency number 101.

“Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously.
