Police appeal for witnesses to assaults in Cookstown

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward following two separate assaults which took place in Cookstown in recent weeks.

The first incident police received a report of an assault on the Sweep Road area in the early hours of Sunday, June 30th.

It was reported that a man sustained facial injuries and bruising following an assault at around 1.30am.

The second incident which police are investigating took place at around 1.15 am of Monday June 24th. It was reported to have taken place in the car park of premises in the Drum Road area of Cookstown. One man was assaulted and sustained a facial injury and an injury to his hand.
