Police appeal on local crimes

A Quad bike has been stolen from pre mises on the Bendooragh Road in Ballymoney, police have said.

The theft is understood to have taken place in the early hours of last Tuesday morning.

Police are appealaing for information.

Local police are also investigating the theft of one thousand litres of diesel which occurred on the Cregagh Road, Ballymoney, on Monday night/Tuesday morning of last week.

The theft is substantial and police are anxious to speak to anyone who can help them find out who carried out the crime.

On Wednesday night of last week, a man was arrested in Ballymoney on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop when ordered to do so by police.

The incident is said to have started at Queen Street and a short pursuit followed.

Meanwhile, a Pink Mountain Bike has been stolen in Rasharkin.

The theft was reported on Tuesday of last week when the bike was removed from outside a shop in the village around 5 p.m.

Also in Rasharkin, police received reports of youths throwing fireworks at passing vehicles in the Sunnyside Drive area.

Detectives have appealed for help in tracing those who carried out a burglary at a Gospel Hall in Henry Street, Ballymoney.

It is understood that entry was gained through a window and the premises subsequently ransacked.

It is not known what was stolen in the incident.
