Police appeal on shooting in Dunmurry

Detectives in Lisburn are investigating the report of a shooting incident at Aspen Walk in Dunmurry on last Thursday.

A family of six escaped injury following the shooting in Aspen Walk Twinbrook, at around 9.30pm.

Police said a shot was fired a the front door of the property causing damage to the door.

A family of six, including a mother, father and four children were in the home at the time.

Graffiti was daubed on a nearby fence suggesting the group Action Against Drugs was behind the attack.

Inspector David McBride said: “Three men wearing dark clothing and masks were seen in the area at the time of the incident and I would appeal to anyone who saw these men or who has any information about the incident to contact detectives at Lisburn on 101.

“Information can be given through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
